At Enfant, we shun cramming. Our aim in in the “Entrance Examination Program” is to help students accomplish their goal by encouragement. High scores in tests mustn’t be an end in itself. We put great emphasis on cultivating the qualities in the children that their school of choice is looking for.
Only Enfant can offer up-to-date information on entrance examinations, reflected in our in-house workbooks and teaching materials – a first class exam preparation support toolbox!
We follow changes in the entrance examinations and analyse them, designing our curriculum on the latest data, putting together in-house textbooks and a non-paper based kit (crafts, puzzles, cards etc.), in the process building ability to pass the entrance examination – in short, children “empowered to pass”.
Enfant provides full support for parents, so that they can help their child succeed!
After every class we discuss the child’s study situation with his or her parent, covering the points of that day’s class, how well the student can follow the instruction, information regarding the entrance examination, and the study situation at home, among other things. By doing this, we help improve the quality of home studies and the student’s preparedness for the examination. We work to give a sense of continuity “from this class to the next”. Parents may of course consult with us any time they wish.

Parents frequently ask us things like: “when should we start prepare for elementary school”, or “do you think our child is ready for the entrance examinations?” There are a myriad things that worry parents. We go to great lengths to alleviate these worries by offering special courses and lectures for parents on a regular basis.
We work hard to bring out the true human potential in each child – the qualities that will serve them best in the entrance examination!
Our aim is not merely to prepare children for a test. Our philosophy is rather to foster “the spirit of learning”, and “the will and energy to live” in each student, which is will be essential for them when they enter school.

Step by step we learn the essentials by repetition, introducing the main subjects: arithmetics, reasoning and thinking, language, social etiquette and memorisation.
“How should I approach this problem? Why should I think in that way about it?” That’s how we want the children to think, and we set aside lot of time for this in class, so that understanding will come to them naturally.
Assessing conduct
Understanding instructions and taking correct action. Learning good social behaviour.
Hearing an instruction once and then being able to move physically according to that instruction, handling objects skilfully with one’s hands, or interacting with people through conversation, are related and fundamental skills which we teach at Enfant. We use techniques such as card games to teach them effectively.

We train four year olds to control their bodies by giving them instructions that they need to act upon by moving their bodies. We start with the very basics (walking, running, jumping), continuing with skip jumping, balancing on one leg etc. The goal of the exercises is to help the children learn to control their bodies. Furthermore, by succeeding in these physical exercises they gain confidence that carries over to other activities. Overcoming difficulties this way help in a larger perspective.
Drawing and crafts training
Discovering the joy of learning while using one’s hands and tools. Becoming used to using tools.
Training adapted to the development of the children: sketching, colouring, puzzles, painting, folding, cutting, gluing and other excercises. We learn the basics in an enjoyable way.
Oral examination
Expanding vocabulary, from input to output of words
One important part of the elementary school entrance examinations is the interview, in which the student is tested one-on-one by a teacher (word-chain games, word recall games, story telling etc.). For this reason, we put considerable effort into expanding our student’s vocabulary, and training them in oral self-expression. We practice interviews as well as oral examinations with the five year olds.

We start early, setting out for a journey to successful school admission. Our well integrated program is designed to cultivate a positive attitude to learning. In order for the kids to be able to reach their full potential by the age of 5, we work with them to build an early foundation.
