The Sugiyama Elementary School Preparatory Course

The lectures at in the Ecole de Sugiyama course follow the progress of classes at school. Furthermore, we also synchronize the training to the tests for each teaching unit, providing the appropriate teaching and handouts when the school tests are approaching.

The Sugiyama Junior High School Preparatory Course

We have the midterm and end-term tests squarely in our sights in our preparatory training, which is timed to boost the examinees’ prospects for each of these tests. Moreover, when the time for the tests come close, we switch from standard tutoring to test preparation training, which we also provide on Saturdays.

The Sugiyama Senior High Preparatory Course

We prepare examinees for regular tests following the progress of the school, in the same fashion as Junior High School Preparatory Course. Based on our long experience of instructing Sugiyama students, we transfer the necessary knowledge for preparing for University.

Instruction adapted to each individual student’s needs
Private lessons

In private lessons the instructor are able to adapt the teaching to each individual’s needs, which makes it possible to reinforce learning for the subjects or teaching units where he or she is weakest, and preparation for classes as well as review can be tailor made for the student. Teaching hours can be utilised for ordinary studies, or to prepare for tests, and studies can also be undertaken as short courses. We will adapt the instruction to the student’s needs – he or she may choose the subjects, class hours, and teaching days freely.

• In the case of private lessons, it is possible to reschedule classes to which the student is unable to attend. Sibling classes will be rescheduled together.

Test preparation: general review and after holiday review
Courses for all terms

We offer general review courses for the spring, summer and winter terms, covering elementary to senior high school. The review covers the academic content of the preceding terms curriculum, in order to prepare the student for the proficiency test at the start of the new term. We also offer private lessons, bolstering the student’s academic performance in subjects or teaching units where he or she is weak, or helping out with book reports and school research.

One of the features of Ecole de Sugiyama is the always available private study rooms. They are available also on days when there are no classes. The typically very friendly relation between instructors and students is also of great benefit, as well as an atmosphere where it is easy to communicate, ask questions, and so forth.
